Congratulations
Smokey Road Indoor Percussion for winning 1st place in the
“Scholastic Concert A Division”! This season’s opening performance at the North
Paulding High School competition was a success! These talented group of students, comprised
of Nate Pylant, T.J Pylant, Heather Sibley, Elaina Satterfield, Mikaylee
Bonner, Gabriel Jordan, Jaden Porter, Will Davison, Camille Newman, Trinity
Byrom, Sierra Leosewski, and Hunter Bishop, represented SRMS and its community
with a solid performance that stood its own ground in a sea of high school and
professional ensembles. Way to go Smokey Road Indoor Percussion!
Much of
the success was made possible by the support of a wonderful and caring staff
comprised of SRMS alumni and parents. Smokey Road Indoor thanks all those who
made the drive to support the ensemble. We heard you loud and clear in the
stands! A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Sibley, Mr. Davison, Mr. and Mrs.
Pylant and Mr. Satterfield for their support in ensuring the safety of the
students and for taking care of much of the logistics.
The
next competition will take place at Forsyth Central High School on Saturday,
March 14, 2015. We look forward to seeing
the support of the Smokey Road family! Enjoy the upcoming competition-free
weekend!
Go
