Preliminary Percussion Contest Schedule for Contest

Please note that this schedule will not be confirmed until GIPA has released the official show schedule.  This is for early planning purposes only.

Friday (February 20th): 

9am-12pm  Practice at Smokey Road and load equipment truck

 Saturday (February 21st)

7:00am     Meet at Smokey Road/load bus/leave for Forsyth Central High School

9:00am     Arrive at Forsyth Central High School

1.  Prelims performance  TBD

2. Afternoon clinic session  TBD

3.  Afternoon meal break  TBD

4.  Finals performance  TBD

9:00pm     Approximate time the show will end.  Parents may check students out immediately following awards.

11:00pm    Approximate time students will arrive back at Smokey Road for pickup.

Students will wear their percussion ensemble shirt with blue jeans and tennis shoes for the performance. 

All students need to bring money to eat concessions for lunch and dinner!  This is a long day to go without eating.
