Smokey Road had several students represent our school today at the State Level Audition. Heather Sibley, Mackenzie Farmer, Elaina Satterfield, Nate Pylant, Camille Newman, and Rachel Holewinksi each did a fantastic job. In my opinion, it was the most prepared our students have ever been for the state level audition.
I am proud to announce that Smokey Road has one student that made the All State Band! We want to wish a special congratulations to Rachel Holewinski (trumpet) for making the all state band. She will perform in the All State Band under the direction of famous composer Samuel Hazo. She becomes the second person in school history to make the all-state band, which is the highest honor that a middle school band student can achieve.
We are so very proud of you Rachel, we know that you will represent our school very well in the All State Band.
