Over the weekend, Smokey Road sent its finest students to audition for the District 6 and All-State Bands. We had a very successful audition. This is the largest number of Smokey Road students to make the Honor Band (The top district band). Congratulations to the following students who have earned a spot in the 2014 District Honor Band:

Bailey Cauthen 9th Chair Flute Honor Band
Lilly McCormick 12th Chair Clarinet Honor Band
Five our students scored in the top percentage on their instrument and will progress to the second round of all-state auditions. This ties the schools record for the most students to make the second audition in one year! This will take place in Perry, Georgia on January 11, 2014. Each of these students will be competing for an opportunity to be named "one of the best in the state." Congratulations to the following students who have progressed to the second round of auditions:
