After our first student leadership meeting, I took the advice of our students in regards to our practice log. The students stated that it would be better to only check practice logs every other week as well as to take off an hour of practice. For this reason, students were given new practice logs yesterday that are based on two week cycles. Each practice log must contain 300 minutes of practice (would have been 360).
In class today we discussed what it means to face adversity and push through. We discussed prominent people in history and how the world is different and better because they are here. I then discussed how working hard at learning an instrument is much the same way. I challenged them to make a difference in our world by pushing through when they encounter the winds of adversity.
I hope that each of you is having a great day!
Josh
