Dear Parents,
Since this is a busy week for the SRMS
Band program, we want to send an additional reminder sheet home with every
student.
Rock-a-thon
1.
Rock-a-thon pledge sheets and money (if already collected) need to be
turned in this week. Students can bring
them in at any time.
2.
Each student should send in a 6 pack of soda this week. We use these sodas not only for rock-a-thon,
but for multiple band events throughout the year.
WE NEED HELP!!!!!!! We have a desperate need for parents to
donate pizza, tortilla chips, and candy for this week’s Rock-a-thon
event!!!! If you can donate these items,
please email me ASAP Josh.Boyd@cowetaschools.net.

We also need additional parents to chaperone the
event. This is an easy job, especially
since the students are sitting down. All
you have to do is just watch students and make sure they have everything they
need to keep rocking!
Thursday
is our BandAids meeting! At 6:00pm
in the SRMS band room, parents of band students 6-8th grade will meet
in the band room to discuss upcoming band events and ways parents can be
involved through supporting the band. This
is a great time for parents to ask questions about what is going on in band
class, find ways they can be involved with their student’s band experience, as
well as meet new friends. Our BandAids
help Dr. Boyd choose fundraisers and plan events. There is no cost to be involved. Just show up!
We will spend a great deal of time talking about Rock-a-thon at this meeting.
Saturday
at 4:00pm is our Rock-a-Thon. We hope to see you there!!!!
