Donation for Tuba

I received a call from a Tuba Exchange representative today.  They have a St. Petersburg professional tuba for sale with the hard shell case for $3,295.  We have been saving up for years to buy this tuba for our students. The tubas that the school owns are student model tubas which were not built to play the high school music that our middle school students are playing.  In fact, the Newnan High School Band was very generous to allow us to borrow 2 tubas for our UGA concert because our tubas were not able to perform the music in correctly.

The St. Petersburg Tuba typically costs $3,595 and the case typically costs $595.00.  As you can see, the price they are willing to sell is a great price.

Needless to say, we do not have this much money saved up in our band account to make the purchase.  If you, someone you know, or a business would like to sponsor the band through the purchase of a Tuba or part of the cost of the Tuba, please let me know.  We will place you or your business's name on the back of our band shirt for 5 years.  The donation is also a tax write-off.  We were very blessed when Southtowne Motors of Newnan purchased the band a marimba a few years ago, and we place their name on our band shirts every year to honor them for this significant contribution to our students.
