Additional UGA Information

Parents,

We were contacted by the UGA School of Music today with the following information.

1.        The concert has been sold out to capacity.  The honor band participants, directors, and their staff have each paid $75.00 per ticket to see the Thursday performance.  The UGA music staff has informed me that since the concert has sold, I need to inform you that there is a chance some of you may not be able to get a seat in the concert hall.

a.       Parents of clinic band students will be asked to remain in the lobby until 10 minutes before the concert starts.  At that time, our parents will be allowed to enter into the concert hall free of charge and fill any available seat.

                                                              

                                                             i.      If a seating issue comes up, the UGA School of Music has an alternate location set up where you can view the performance through closed circuit monitoring in Ramsey Hall (next door).

2.       Parking.  There is a parking deck adjacent to the concert hall.  The cost to park for the concert is expected to be $5.00. 

3.       Information for students checking their student out after the performance. 

a.       We need to know in advance because of the parking situation. 

                                                               i.      Students who are riding back with parents will meet parents in the lobby of the concert hall and will not return back to the bus. (Satterfield supervising)

                                                             ii.      Students riding bus home will report to bus loading dock with Mr. Boyd to load immediately and depart for Smokey Road.

                                                            iii.      If you are planning on checking your student out after the event we MUST know in advance.  Please sign and return the back of this letter.

I will check out my student and assume all responsibility for my student at the conclusion of the concert.  I understand that, unless in case of an unforeseen circumstance, I will meet Mr. Satterfield in the lobby of the concert hall immediately following the concert to check out my student.
