When returning from summer break, students and parents will notice a few great changes to the band facility at Smokey Road. Last summer, Coweta Schools painted the band room. Throughout the year, new posting brackets were added, a new wireless system went live, as well as other new technological upgrades. Over the summer, the school system replaced the 11 year old carpet with a new carpet. Furthermore the old closet has been changed to an instrument storage room, freeing up space for students and equipment within the larger band room. "I am excited about the changes to our music rooms and hallways," said Boyd. "the Coweta County School System and our principal Dr. Laurie Barron have a clear appreciation of the positive effects that music has in our schools. The investment in our facilities add to the growing evidence of their support."
We hope that you will come by and visit the band room during the school year!
