Reminders

End of the Year Band Dates and Reminders:

1.        Solo Ensemble

a.       We will meet at Smokey Road Middle School at 11:30am on April 21, 2012

b.      We will travel to Woodland High School in Henry County

c.       Students can bring money to buy pizza at Woodland or a sack lunch to eat

d.      Students will go to the rooms to perform their solo on the times indicated on the back of this sheet.

e.      We will return to Smokey Road at approximately 8:00pm (it is common to get ahead of schedule)

2.       Coweta County Honor Band

a.       Students who signed up will audition on April 23^rd.  Auditions times will be given out later in the week.

b.      The list of makes the Honor Band will be posted by the end of April

c.       We need some helpers after school on April 23^rd.  Students who can help us will receive a bonus of 10 points in their pass off book for service to the band as well as cookies and coke during the time they are helping (3:30-8:00pm)

d.      The Honor Band is May 11-12

3.       Indoor Percussion Ensemble

a.       Tuesdays April 17, 24 3:30-4:30

b.      Relay for life performance on Friday April 27^th.  We will meet at the Coweta Fairgrounds at 8:00pm and we should be done and loaded by 10:00pm.

4.       Turn in your concert uniforms

a.       Students who have a concert uniform (dresses or dress shirt, bow ties, etc.) should turn those in with a receipt of dry cleaning or $10.00

b.      This is considered Smokey Road School property.

5.       Many of you are asking about Smokey Road summer Honor Band and DCI show!!!

a.       Yes, we will do it.  More information in May as it becomes available.
